That tennis player looks confident or that speaker exudes confidence.
Funny we never hear anyone ever talk about the word, “certainty.”
We never hear, “That tennis player looks certain or that speaker exudes certainty!
Interesting, don’t you think?
So, what’s the difference between the two and what does certainty have to do with being an ARTIST?
Let’s take a closer look.
Confidence defined is: n. Belief in the certainty of something.
Certainty defined is: n. The quality of being established as true.
Whoa. There we go!
Certainty is what confidence wants to be.
Confidence is a belief. What’s above a belief? Or what is a belief based upon?
Truth.
So, certainty is truth and it is above confidence. It is a place where freedom exists. It is where you can create life effortlessly and it is where ARTISTRY begins.
Confidence is more of a pumped up energy; you know, a belief that we can get to that place of certainty.
So how do we bridge the gap?
Well, I’ll tell you!
Make the commitment.
Put the time in.
Do the work.
Do the research.
Duplicate.
Define your space, your time, your energy…your words!
Talk to people.
Ask questions.
And above all else…..
1. Decide that you WANT to know.
2. Decide that you CAN know.
Belief is one thing.
Knowing is another.
It is something so simple, but it can change your life.
There is one thing that I know!
You are an ARTIST. I see it.
Next week we’ll talk about how certainty separates good from great.
